Now Hiring:

Basics for all Positions
- Must be available to work through
Labor Day.
- Must be available to work all holiday weekends, and most
weekends through the season.
- Participate in staff training.
- Participate in periodic gatherings,
meetings, and outings.

Basic Position Requirements
-
Friendly, enthusiastic, good with people and
work well with others.

Reliable transportation
to and from work.
-
General knowledge of, or
willingness to learn about the Hocking Hills area, the Hocking
River, paddlesports and outdoor recreation.
|
Basic Position Description
-
Maintain the facilities
and grounds, including but not limited to cleaning, trash pick up
and general upkeep.
-
Assist in washing equipment,
including canoes, kayaks, PFDs, paddles, etc.. after each use.
-
Assist in cleaning and
maintaining restrooms and cabins.

Driver
Position Requirements
-
Good driving record.
-
21 or older.
-
Knowledge of basic
vehicle repair and maintenance.
-
Able to lift and carry
canoes and other heavy objects.
-
Commercial Driver's
License a plus, but not required.

Position Description

Drive truck, vans and
bus.
-
Lift, load and haul
canoes, kayaks and rafts.
-
Brief customers for
trip.
-
Launch customers on
trip.
-
Maintain clean, safe
launch areas.

Maintain clean, safe
vehicle.

Perform basic repairs
and maintenance on vehicle.

Update vehicle and
trailer logs.
-
Maintain radio contact
with other staff.

Assist at landing.

Other duties as

Position Requirements

Knowledge of history,
nature and ecology of the area.

Able to organize large
groups of people.

Clear articulate
speaking voice.

Basic river and paddling
knowledge.

Position Description

Assist guests in
preparing for river trip.

Brief customers for
trip.
-
Provide basic paddling
instruction.

Provide historical,
natural and visitor information.

Greet customers upon
arrival and departure.

Basic upkeep and
maintenance of guest reception area.

Monitor and troubleshoot
parking situation.
-
Maintain radio contact
with other staff

Assist in loading and
unloading boats.

Front Desk
Position Requirements
-
Calm, cool and
collected.

Organized.

Cash register experience
helpful, but not necessary.

Comfortable talking to
people in person and on the phone.

Honest and responsible

Computer skills,
including email, word processing, spreadsheet, database, and design
software.

Position Description
-
Oversees all
communications, including phone, email, in person and radio contact
with drivers.
-
Organizes shuttles and
boat staging.
-
Handles and is
accountable for money, including
running the register, taking deposits, cash reports and bank
deposits.
-
Maintains shop
merchandise, including organization, inventory and pricing.
-
Prepares customers for
trip including finding the right trip, gear and information.
-
Maintains customer
database.
-
Other duties as
assigned.

Position Requirements

Knowledge of basic
vehicle repair and maintenance.

Ability to operate basic
maintenance, landscaping and cleaning equipment.

canoes, kayaks and rafts.

Help customers from
boats at landing.

Wash equipment,
including canoes, kayaks, PFDs, paddles, etc.. after each use.

Basic upkeep and
maintenance of landing, building, campground and cabins.
-
Maintain clean safe
landing.
-
Perform basic repairs
and maintenance on vehicle.
-
Update vehicle and
trailer logs.
-
Maintain radio contact
with other staff.

Other duties as
assigned.
